Do you need to file an amended return if you filed a zero return by accident. You intended to file an extension. First time user. Ugg!!

Yes... but it's one of the easiest amended returns to do because you're going from zero to the correct amounts. 

Unfortunately, it'll have to be a paper file.

You shouldn't have been able to Efile a return with zero income on it...are you sure thats what happened?

Maybe it had a taxable state income tax refund (if a Form 1040)?

A Sch C with a loss because of depreciation that rolled forward (if a F 1040).

PAL triggered because of the *zero* income being below the limits?
