This article will help you amend an Exempt Organization return for Form 990, Form 990-EZ, Form 990-PF, or Form 990-T in Lacerte.

How to amend an Exempt Organization return:

  1. Under the Detail tab, go to Screen 74, Amended Return.
  2. Select the applicable box:

    • Amended Return (990-T) (This will print "Amended Return" under Form 990-T).

      • If you're amending Form 990-PF, continue with steps 4–5 and then skip to step 8.
      • If you're amending Form 990-T, skip steps 4–5 and continue with step 6.
