I am new to using ProConnect and Intuit Link and was using Drake prior to converting this year.

What is the best practice for receiving documents from clients and vise versa using intuit Link? I have already had clients try to upload copies of prior year tax returns only to find that the file is too big. I also don't see a way to send other documents to clients through Intuit Link.

With Drake, there was never an issue with receiving or sending documents to and from clients using Secure File Pro. I'm a little disappointed with the capabilities of Intuit Link compared to what it was advertised as.  Am I missing anything here? What's the best practice? Thanks in advance for the input.

Intuit Link is a capable basic client portal but you just can't expect advance functionalities like you would for other portal you pay to subscribe.  It is a bit temperamental to use but most problems can be avoided so long as the user (accountants and clients alike) open it only in incognito mode and with only a supported browser.

As for why your client wasn't able to upload the prior year returns, my hunch is that the scan was not optimized and the file size is above the 30MB limit.  Under normal circumstances, that limit should be sufficient for most users.  Your client may like to adjust the scanner settings or, if not possible, email you the file, encrypted, instead.
