How does a tax preparer sign up for merchant account services (credit card services) to collect their tax preparation fees from clients?

Solution Description

The ProSeries Merchant Account Services program works with any Internet connection and Web browser. If you use merchant account services, your clients can pay for your services by credit card or eCheck.

New Merchant Account Services Customers

To sign up for merchant account services to use with your ProSeries Software:

Visit our website and complete the Intuit QuickBooks Merchant Service Application for ProSeries or call (877) 309-8261.

Existing Merchant Account Services Customers

If you need help with your merchant account, contact Wells Fargo Support through Authorize.net by e-mail or phone (866) 486-7359.

Note: It is important to identify yourself as a ProSeries customer.

To process a credit card or eCheck payment from your client within your ProSeries software:

  1. Click on the Tools drop-down menu
  2. Click on Accept Credit Cards/eChecks.
  3. Choose Process Payment(s).
  4. Follow the instructions on the Web page that appears.
