I just received this from my Lacerte Rep. He and I had a discussion, but when I pressed him on a firm commitment to have the forms for us, he could not commit. He said he would be discussing this with his NJ Lacerte specialists:
Hi Michael,
Thank you for reaching out.
First time hearing directly from our NJ customers in our last meeting on 1/14, we developed deep customer empathy on the pain points of not having this new PTE form set available in the program. We immediately escalated our concerns and are now moving towards the right direction of assessing the development effort and gathering resources to deliver a more complete product for TY20 in order to meet your satisfaction.
The extension PTE-200T (form & instructions) hasn’t been released by the state yet. So far only the main form PTE-100 and the Estimated PTE-150 instructions have been posted on NJ website. https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/pteforms.shtml
We have been reaching out to the state of NJ for all the required information we need in order to appropriately assess and plan work, but haven’t received all the artifacts needed. Hence, before state releases more information, we won’t be able to accurately plan work based on limited information at the moment. Therefore we cannot officially commit to our customers on delivery just yet.
We will keep you updated on the progress and please reach out if you need anything else.
