Effective for 2020, Lacerte changed the programming when using minister's housing allowance which affected the printing of the schedule c expense details. The adjustment for "expenses allocated to minister's nontaxable parsonage" now causes all of the schedule c expenses to be lumped together into one total. The individual expense detail lines are then blank. The client (and the client's mortgage lender) thinks something is wrong because they don't see the expense details. I understand the change was to work with the IRS e-file rejection rules. At least give us the ability to print the Schedule C expenses details as a statement or supplemental information. I had to separately type a list of expenses and give to the client and his lender. Hard to explain that my high-dollar software won't let me print the expenses on a minister's schedule C if he has a housing allowance adjustment.
