There is no customization available to add the Form 1040-V form to the Government Copy. This copy is used by us to communicate the "action items" to the client. We can include the letter, invoice, Form 8879, and the Form 1040-ES payment vouchers, but why in the world we can't also include the voucher for the balance due for this year is beyond me.
In essence, we can provide vouchers to pay for next year's taxes but not this year's taxes. To do that, we need to either single print the 1040-V form separately or pull it out of the Client Copy where it should nt be anyway. When printing paper returns, this was a little irritating, but now that we are going paperless, it is a real problem! we can't pull the form out of the pdf version of the client copy and if we go the extra step of printing it separately, it is still not a part of the Government Copy file, and we have to explain that to the client.
