You may need to update your prep file. If you do not have Fast Path for 2018, you will not be able to process prior year returns.

What happens when you try? Any error messages, e-file stopping diagnostics?

I hit the efile icon but nothing happens

You may need to do this setup https://accountants-community.intuit.com/articles/1607801-setting-up-e-file-without-the-e-file-setup...
