To run the Schedule D change report pushed out with the recent update, do all return files need to be unlocked or will the results also be posted for locked returns?

I ran the update but the only return with a checkmark was a return not locked.

It appears that the answer is you need to (a) back up all locked clients (b) unlock those clients (c) update database (d) lock clients for them to show up. When you do an initial update of database you get the message shown.

I view this as one more FAILURE OF LACERTE to properly handle locked files.

You will need to back up the locked clients and then unlock them, or make a copy and unlock the copy in order to pick up the locked client files in your report.

Yep...This procedure is worthless when you lock the client files once they are efiled...a good, accepted and standard procedure.  So this is a waste of time!
