Many diagnostics are just informational. https://accountants-community.intuit.com/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=diagnostic&button= and particularly https://accountants-community.intuit.com/articles/1606072-lacerte-critical-diagnostics

  • Critical Diagnostics are generated when input is missing or present that will cause a return to be rejected or filed incorrectly.  Critical diagnostics that have to do with an electronically filed return will have "e-file" in front of them.  These diagnostics will prevent a return from being electronically filed until they are either cleared or bypassed.

So, unless the word "e-file" is there, you can still e-file.

Like many things, Intuit has not updated for 2018 yet.  You may just need to wait until they fix it.
