Which year are you working on? There is no penalty in 2019.

There is no federal penalty for 2019 and 2020.

I am working on 2020.  CA says their penalty, same as old Fed penalty, is calculated based on Fed input and there is no place for it in Lacerte.  I understand many states have adopted the Fed penalty when the Feds ended it.

You are correct. There is CURRENTLY no input for that. Probably in the next update.

New update to 2020 - It is in Screen 53.014 California Premium Assistance Subsidy Credit like old IRS 1=entire household covered for all months, 2=no months.
