Another firm is requesting  a "Lacerte backup of a partnership and individual tax returns", what are they asking for and how do I do it?

OR:

Client Tab on upper menu bar > Send via email.

A word of advice if you DO provide the file (backup method or email) make *sure* you haven't put any notes in the file that aren't meant for your eyes only.  Many prepares refuse such requests.

There are asking for the Lacerte files. They must use Lacerte, so if you give them they can just restore and go on their way.

Do you want to give them your files?

If so, Client, Backup
