Amend 2018 when new to Lacerte 2019

Thank you in advance for any help. I am new to Lacerte and I need to amend a 1040 for 2018. I have Lacerte 2018 tax program loaded to my computer. Can I use the 2018 data  from my previous software company to create an amended return for 2018 in Lacerte?

I tried using the data from the old software from 2018 in Lacerte 2018 and it wouldn't work. I wanted to do this to see if the data converted correctly back in January. Now, I want to do it because I have to amend a 2018 return. Thank you for your help and I hope everyone stays safe and healthy. The news is getting scarier and scarier.
