THIS USED TO BE AUTOMATIC, BUT LINE 21 INCOME SUBJECT TO S/E TAX IS NOT GENERATING THE TAX. THOUGHTS?

There are two lines to enter income to hit line 21; one is "subject to SE", one isn't.   Make sure you picked the right one, as it is working for me.

Works for me. How much income on line 21? Did you maybe put it for spouse on a single or MFS return? Look at the Schedule SE. How much is on line 4? (Less than gross of $433 generates no SE)

I'm not sure why you put self employed income on line 21.  Self Employed income goes on Schedule C.
