Lacerte - I filed an amended 1040. For some reason, it's producing filing instructions for a 1040 and not an amended 1040. How do I get that to produce?

In Screen 5.1, click on Amended Return under Filing Instructions.

Per the note at the top of that section, the 1040 and ES is what you get instructions for if you don't mark anything.

I didn't know that was there...when I amend a return, the letter automatically has the amended wording on it.

It's for the filing instructions, not the letter wording.

Thanks @abctax55 . I guess I am not the only one that does not use filing instructions.

Here's wishing you many Happy Returns

Ah...now I get it.  I don't use the filing instructions either.
