Intuit Link Engagement letters

The Engagement letters for the tax organizer correctly insert the client name and other information in the engagement letter. Adding the same letter to the intuit link-template does nothing you get the placeholder descriptions only. there is a tip in the app that mentions $ as placeholders but they do not work. The instructions on the website and videos are all wrong and don't work.  does anyone have any updated instructions on composing as a letter that correctly inserts the client and firm information in the LINK engagement letter?

After spending 8 hours on this issue today it was determined that only a few of the "placeholders" with database information work. If you one that does not work will not get any of the information. No one at Lacerte actually knows which ones work and were not willing to escalate and my request for a list of the working placeholders. The $client_name$ in the tips does not work.  the following appears to work

[CLIENTNAME]
[CLIENTADDRESS]
[CLIENTCITY], [CLIENTSTATE] [CLIENTZIP]
[CLIENTCOUNTRY][FIRMNAME]
[FIRMADDRESS]
[FIRMCITYSTATE][FIRMZIP]

These keywords are hardcoded by Intuit.  You can, therefore, use only those made available by Intuit.

Currently, my understanding is that only the following are allowed:

$client_name$
This will pull up the taxpayer's first name.

$firm_name$
This will pull up your firm's name.

Intuit is not the quickest to update their articles or known for customer communication.  In case there is anything you need urgently, you could post your question here and someone may be able to give you some pointers or share with you their experience.

It's amazing that Lacerte can't figure out how to cut and paste from Word or other word processing systems into new letters we may want to show under client or engagement letters.  Decade long problem that Lacerte keeps avoiding.

Lacerte programers are not too creative or just don't want to do it.
