I received a critical error that a PDF needs to be attached to the return. I've attached it, but the error remains. How can I clear it and e-file?

Go to the attach pdf screen (depends on which type of return) and delete the attachment. Exit the client. Re enter the client and attach the pdf. If the error still occurs, do your best to write what the error is and post it in the comment below. Some critical errors are really warnings and do not clear, you can still e-file the return.
