How many years do I depreciate major earthquake retrofitting on rental property and does it qualify for special depreciation?

It sounds like an improvement to the property itself, which would mean 27.5 years for Residential Rental Property or 39 years for Nonresidential Rental Property (assuming you don't use ADS depreciation).
