How do I get more than one child from the federal Form 8839 to process for Kansas adoption credits (K-47)?

Lacerte seems to process a K-47 for the first child entered on Federal Form 8839. Only one processes no matter which child is entered first on the 8839, so it should be an incorrect dependent detail issue. This is my first dual special needs adoption return. Federal is happy; Alabama (resident) is happy; Kansas (non-resident) only gives me one K-47 even though multiples are allowed.  I'd appreciate any help.

Are you sure a non resident is eligible? https://www.ksrevenue.org/prtaxcredits-adoption.html

Taxpayer has been multi-state for many years. One child was adopted in 2019 on a part-year KS return, but this year was a completely NON-resident return adopting 2 children.  Thanks for reminding me to consider the non-residency; I'll test to see what part-year yields in Lacerte, but will complete the 2020 return as appropriate.  Thanks, again.
