How do I clear out others work to start over? As to start a whole new return but keep client info?

I am kinda new to Lacerte, however been doing really well getting around and have already finished many returns. I am running into in my 2016 and 2017 files data already entered but all incorrect data. And instead of having to go and delete each and every entry. How do I clear out others work to start over? As to start a whole new return but keep client info?

If you have accurate Lacerte files for the prior year, re-Proforma them from the prior year's program.

It's not clear to me how this situation arose. If you had Lacerte convert 2016 and 2017 files from some other software, the proforma file created from the conversion process is not intended to create an accurate return for the conversion year; it's intended to get the carryovers to the following year right.
