Does anyone have experience hosting Lacerte themselves in the cloud (i.e. using your own server)? I'm looking for the pros & cons. I understand Lacerte is promoting using Right Networks for hosting. however it is costly.

You probably know already that Intuit will not support you, officially speaking, for self-hosting or hosting through third-party vendors not approved by Intuit, if you do run into problems.
There have been very few questions on cloud hosting, so you may not get any response waiting for feedback here. You may like to review these threads and tag those posters to solicit their comments instead.
