Foreign S-corp in NJ without s-election

I have a CA s-corporation that did business in NJ. It didn't elect to be treated as a NJ S-corp. So, I know need to file a multistate return s-corp return for FED and CA, but a c-corp return for NJ. Can it be done within the s-corp module?

I use Pro Series, so I don't know about Lacerte, but check with the state returns options in the list of states. Since the NJ election is optional, you can always have a federal S and a NJ C corp.

What happens when you go to add a state to the federal 1120-S? Is there a list of states available?

Thank you Accountant-Man

Yes, you can add NJ, which I have done. I have looked in the state option several times, but didn't find any appropriate input or checkbox

The CBT-100 and CBT-100S are two separate forms, not options. In Pro Series, when you go to the states to look up which ones to use, there are two listings, CBT-100 and CBT-100S. In PS, choose CBT-100.

IDK Lacerte.
