Choosing to report all capital transactions on form 8949

How do I force all covered capital transactions to report on Form 8949 and flow to lines 1b and 8b on Schedule D rather than showing them on line 1a and 8a?

Settings > Options > Federal > 2/3rds or so down = force all on F 8949.

(That's from memory.... I'm not able to access my 'pooter right now)

or, if you don't want to make a change globally and just want to change one return go to screen 17 for Dispositions and click on the Carryovers/Misc Info tab on the left.  At the bottom of the first section is an override to print all assets on Form 8949.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to do that? Certainly no one at IRS is going to look at it, and if some other issue attracts their attention, they're going to wonder what you're trying to hide.
