I am unable to clear the e-file diagnostic on an amended 2019 1040 related to amount overpaid on originally filed.
Original return had an overpayment applied to 2020 and an underpayment penalty. I have overridden the amount applied to 2020 to include the underpayment penalty in screen 7.1 . I have forced the underpayment penalty to agree to the amount on the originally filed tax return and still cannot get the critical diagnostic to clear. ref # 20092
Is there a solution or will this return need to paper filed?
