State requirements for printing draft forms from professional tax software

SOLVEDby Intuit58Updated over 1 year ago

Many states requested that only final approved versions of their forms can be print from professional tax software. To follow the state's recommendations, while helping our preparers maintain their workflow as much as possible, we'll continue to provide draft versions of all forms. However, the states listed below will have the print option turned off for any nonfinal form until it is final and approved by the state agency.

Printing of any non-final form will be blocked for the following states:

ALARAZCACO
CTDCDEGAIA
IDILLAKYKS
MAMDMEMIMN
MOMSMTNDNE
NHNMOHOKOR
PARISCTXVA
VTWIWV

When printing a tax return that contains nonfinal forms, those nonfinal forms will print as a blank page with an Unavailable notification, meaning the form is not yet final. You'll also not be able to print a nonfinal form. If the form has e-file approval, you'll be able to e-file those returns, even if you can't print the forms.

To view the status of a particular form for federal and state agencies, see the  Tax Form finder.  Our focus and commitment remains to have forms finalized and approved by their agencies as quickly as possible.
