When we have a 1040 client with multiple TN single member LLCs we are having to create a dummy ProSeries 1040 file to prepare one of the forms FAE-170.
This requires that we do PDF file consolidations and edits so that we can have one set of PDF files for the client set, the preparer set and the government set with the 1040 and all FAE-170 forms as well as the relevant letter pages.
If ProSeries could be modified to allow us to prepare multiple TN FAE-170 forms in one 1040 with a drop down on each TN FAE-170 form to select which schedule C or E to pull figures from this would allows to get our three PDFS to have the relevant pages directly from ProSeries without any modifications.
Also, because there is no way to specify on TN FAE-170 forms in 1040s where the data is pulled from (it pulls from a Schedule C with a check box marked) if we need to prepare a TN FAE-170 form for a Schedule E we have to use overrides to get the correct amounts and we cannot e-file the return.
