When I look at the recent questions in the community feed, I will look at several pages. I will be, for example, on page 7 and open a question to look at it. When I hit the return button it will always go back to page 1 instead of the page I was on. The old forum would return to the page I was on. Is there a setting I need to change that will fix this in this new format?
Thank you for the suggestion, I will look into this and see if there is something we can do.
It was brought to attention several weeks back, but it still hasnt been fixed.
My solution is to Right Click the post and open in a new tab, then you still have the previous tab open you can go back to and get to where you left off.
Make sure to always click on the "Recent" link, too, when first coming to a section. Just because you only now opened it and are showing the underline for Recent or even refreshed that page or even have your profile set for in sequence by Recent, none of that is being used. You still need to click Recent and the display order changes to most recent first.
Thanks for that one. I just thought the "recent" feature didn't work worth a crap. Now I know it works, as long as you manually make it work. New and improved?
I realized these topics are read Top to Bottom; but the regular forum has the sort order as Bottom (original question) to Top (most recent reply).
Why don't these things work the same across all functions?
I also noticed that when you look at the Notifications page, you can tell which ones have new content ...BUT once you look at one, it unmarks all of them UGH so if someone replied to something Im involved in, its easy for me to miss and go back to that post.....Again, Im using the Right Click, Open in new tab to avoid this behavior.
Each notification should remain "highlighted" (for lack of a better description), until Ive clicked on it.
And this Questions Feed topic doesn't show in Recent at all. If I hadn't decided to use Notifications, which a lot of times is only Cheers/Kudos and not Updates, I would not have noticed this got updated. I guess because it isn't considered a Topic? If that's true, than why would we be allowed to keep Replying in it?
Oh, I take that back; now it showed as Recent, even though I was certain I clicked on Recent. I suppose that's because the Lounge is a subset of the Community, and clicking Recent from the Lounge didn't include Questions Feed from Suggestions, which is a subset of Community but not part of Lounge.
I want a street map.
The comments here show up in my notifications, along with all the cheers (which I dont need to see!!), feels like I spend quite a bit of time sorting and searching
This idea is still under review as we would love to implement it into the community. We have been working with the platform and development team, however have not found the capability at this point. We will keep you posted.
