DMS Database Error 53249 Attempting to Repair DMS Database

When attempting to repair the DMS database (DBRepair.exe) it fails with the following error:
DMS Database Error: 53249, Invalid Database Path.
Table Locks is missing from the specified path:
X:DMS Database

or

DMS Database Error: 53249, Invalid Database Path.
DATA01A is missing from the specified path:
X:DMS Database
NOTE: The path will be where the DMS database is stored.

Solution Description

Note: Ensure all users are out of DMS before performing the following steps:

1. Open DMS.
2. Create a new database on the local hard drive (ie C:Test) by selecting File menu -> Database -> New.
3. Follow the Wizard to create the new database.
4. Select the option I don't want to import at this time and select Next.
5. Close DMS.
6. Browse to C:Test.
7. Hold down the CTRL key and select locks.dat and locks.idx.
8. Right-click and select Copy.
9. Browse to original database folder.
10. Inside the database folder, right-click and select Paste.
11. Confirm to overwrite the existing files.
12. Create a new folder inside this DMS database folder.
13. Name this folder IDX files.
14. Hold down the CTRL key and select all the . idx files (except Locks.idx) and the dbisam.lck file.
15. Right click and select Cut.
16. In the IDX files folder, right-click and select Paste.
17. Browse to C:Program FilesIntuitDMS ( This is the default installation folder).
18. Open the file DBRepair.exe and hit OK to the Information prompt.
19. Select the original DMS database folder inside the Database Maintenance window.
20. Select Repair.
21. When repair has finished, close the Database Maintenance window by selecting Exit.
22. Open the DMS program.
23.Click the File -> Database -> Open.
24. Select the original database and click OK.
25. Ensure the database is present with no errors.
