Common questions on hosting with Right Networks

Below, you'll find answers to frequently asked questions about using Right Networks to access your hosted Lacerte or ProSeries software.

No.  The only workaround is to select "Password protect PDF files for returns" in Global Print Options, and then attach PDF files to Office 365 ProPlus in the Right Networks environment.

Yes.  However, a member of Right Networks must install and provision the Office ProPlus application into the Right Networks environment.

No.  You must have both the ProSeries network license and also the hosted network license in order to share and synchronize data files in the cloud environment.

No.  Currently, multi-factor authentication codes can only be verified through a cell phone.  Email and landlines are not an option.

No.  ProSeries requires a login for each user accessing the software.  Also, when a password is reset or a multi-factor authentication code is needed it will be sent to the specific user's email or phone, respectively.

No.  The two environments are separate.  Client information is not automatically shared or synced between the two.  You must manually move client data from either environment first, and then use the restore function within ProSeries to update the client information.

No.  Passwords are saved for 90 days, however, if ProSeries prompts you to enter a multi-factor every time, then send a Slack and/or email to John Boyle.

Please indicate in the Subject "MFA issue," and provide the CAN and User ID.  Subsequent to resolving the issue, the user should be able to access ProSeries without having to enter their MFA code within a 24 hour period.
