I have a nice silver pen given to me by my Uncle at least 30 years ago. It has a University of Alabama emblem attached to it. It is VERY special to me; I've used it to sign every single tax return since I received it (before efile days) and I initial the paper client copies with it. It obviously gets a lot less use these days; I don't have to replace the ink cartridge as often anymore. I probably should buy a dozen of the cartridges as they may become obsolete. Maybe they already are 😉

3) For future reference, at least in Lacerte - unclick the CA box when submitting extensions.

I'm considering firing all clients that use brokerages that *don't* as I agree with Phoebe that it's a pain to look thru all those pages. And just NOT a good use of our professional time.
Nothing really different, in my experience.
Being a chiro doesn't generate any 'new or different' expenses than the ordinary & normal ones.
Maintenance of one's body/mind is personal.
It has been a slice, I'm not exactly what it's been a slice * of * tho.

Fewer returns on extension than ever in my tax pro life. And several are actually done but on hold for SEPP funding reasons, or waiting to see if Congress ever decides on the taxability of the PGE 'fire' settlements.
Unfortunately, Lacerte has been the MOST unstable it has been in maybe forever?
But I know I'm way, way too old to switch.
And I really think quite a few of my clients have become a lot dumber. Or, maybe I'm just less tolerant?
Major employee issues - I feel like I spent a lot of time "herding cats "
Payroll day, so I've to be at the office to supervise. Tomorrow tho....sit in the sun!!
Thanks to all that chimed in here to either help, or entertain (hi Jeff)

So you're likely better off with bonus, assuming the shareholder can use the loss on the F 1040 (assuming basis limitations aren't a problem..)
AND, Lacerte makes it hard to keep the balance sheet balanced - I have to override in M-1 IF you have suspended § 179. (P I T A)
