They are going rogue with the 1098-T's? Never!

It appears to be more of a payroll type form as it is for the employer to report tip income. I don't think it would be filed with the income tax return. 
8948 is only for individuals, estates or trusts per the form instructions. Look under Covered Returns in the instructions. 
Assuming you are talking about the W-2's, have you checked the spouse box for the spouse's W-2?  OOPs, I thought this was a Lacerte question,not a PS question. Maybe a PS person can help you.

There are more than one options for type of phone number, have you tried them all?

Try again, I did an update on the 24th. My current version is 39.0123.
I realize it is not the perfect answer but you can override the federal credit in screen 38.2.

Just off the top of my head, I am in compilation mode now, but if there is no dependency exemption for them now and no credit for other dependents, why would you need them on the return? As a stopgap, you could suppress the Child Tax credit in Screen 2. 
Obi-wan, if the client does have child tax credit for other dependents, the -1 wouldn't work. You would need to put the correct amount in there.
