If you type the EIN up at the TOP of the 1099G worksheet, the rest should fill in automatically.
I never even noticed if the phone number prints or not on a 1041, cant you just type it in?
Back in 2018 or 2019 California  did it to like 12-15 of my clients, huge PITA.

I had one last year that I sent in documentation 3 times for, they still only credited withholding on one of the damn forms, it seriously took until just last month to finally straighten out his 2022 refund...and now hes got the same damn letter again for 2023!!!    Same 1099s as hes had every year for a decade, suddenly the withholding isnt appearing in his account.   Its crazy!

You would check the box down on the fed info worksheet that says he can be claimed by someone else. I think its in Part X.

There was a post tin here yesterday about Iowa, and that Efiling is delayed right now, I think there may be some kind of issue with Iowa right now?  I'll see if I can find the post.
that was a reported problem in February, but it should have been fixed...did you transfer those client files into 2023 back in Jan or Feb?
Nope, thats how it works, its a terrible system.    Thankfully the TP is making more money now and can afford to pay back the discount they got while they had lower income.
Did they use the entire amount of credit in 2020?  Do you have the 5695 from 2020?  Chances are the credit has been used up in the past 3 years if it wasnt all used in 2020.
TT will probably just hold them, no explanation, then reject later.
Most of us summarize by brokerage, short or long non covered, covered transactions can go in the summary boxes at the top of the 1099B...its rare I have more than 2 or 3 entries for any one brokerage.
Im afraid if they try to fix it, some other more horrible glitch will result that isnt as easy to workaround, now I just I just hit the Choose button and select it in the list.
I mark 7a yes and 7b yes and input the country code, but I dont activate the 114 within ProSeries.
