With the senate passage of the stimulus bill, and the house expected to accept the revisions, it's almost certain we'll be dealing with the unemployment exclusion of the first $10,200 for qualified taxpayers. This will mean many, many amendments for folks who have already filed. Will proseries kindly provide professionals with a specific client query or other identifier so we can reach out to clients who have already filed in order to prepare and process amendments? Thank you so much for prompt attention.

Intuit will most likely do that, but I don't think you have to worry about that since I guarantee you that all of those clients will be calling you about amending their returns. And if you haven't received any calls yet, they will be starting today. Everybody wants a tax break "now" for a tax bill that hasn't even been finalized yet.

The 1040X wont be ready for filing until the last week of March (it doesnt even work properly yet), should be plenty of time for them to get a Query in place.

What's the query? They can probably look for 1099-G, but every return with a state tax refund is going to show up for that one.
