NC is giving an extra credit grant to qualifying taxpayers that have a child 16 or younger.
I have been told that most software did not report this correctly on line 10a of form D-400 and those returns need to be amended by October 15th.
Does anyone know if Proseries reported the incorrect number to NC?

Not sure why the amendment window would only extend to 10/15.

Not familiar with N.C., but took a look at their site. found this statement:
The State of N.C. is now awarding grants of $335 to eligible individuals with at least one qualifying child. If you filed a state return and reported a qualifying child, no further action is required. If you did not file, you can apply by October 15.
Seems to me the software was not required to change anything to get credit.

So far I have not found any errors with proseries. I was just told that most software had reported it incorrectly and wanted to make sure I did not miss anything.
