Thanks to online community for confirming that a MFJ couple can claim Form 2441 credit for expenses for critically ill spouse so the other spouse can work. But I am having trouble entering the information on the spouse's name & SSN without overriding Part II line 2.
Put your cursor on Line 5 of the 2441, then click the yellow ? on the toolbar, scroll down to the instructions for student/disabled person...does that help at all?
Ohh, you know you may have to enter them in the dependent worksheet with a Code Q (not a dependent but qualifies for the dependent care credit) for the 2441 to pick them up as qualifying.
