My client is an IL resident.  She purchased a condo in PR with intent of renting it out.  Do I treat property in PR same as I would any other rental property in US or are there some differences?

I believe foreign property has to be depreciated over 40   30  years (for residential, 40 for commercial) .

Puerto Rico is a Commonwealth of the United States and not a foreign country.

Since it's not a foreign country, then it should be 27.5 years for residential rental property.
