I just "inadvertently"  transferred 2018 Form 1040 into a 2019 Form 1040 into which I had already  entered a very substantial amount of 2019 data so now 2019 data seems to have disappeared and I appear to be starting fresh!

Can I undo the transfer and have my 2019 return back?

I just do one return - my own.  What I was trying to do was just transfer an old Schedule E from 2018 to replace a new one I was completing by adding some old data (fully depreciated asset that no longer appeared)

Unless you had a backup done before you did the transfer, you are SOL.

Slava Ukraini!

Thank you.  I got lucky.  I did have it backed up

There is an option somewhere that wont allow transfers if the return already exists....my system stops me if the file already exists and wont allow transfer...I just did a quick peek, but Im not seeing it, but I know its there somewhere!

Thank you.  If I do something stupid like this again, I will look for your solution. Knowing  me I will do something else that is stupid!

I am back to working on my backed up version so all is well (until the next time)
