Client is retired and owns an apartment building, this is his main source of income.  He manages it himself and being a retired contractor he handles the majority of repairs.  He keeps good records and has a designated office space for managing the apartment building.

I don't see a way to get the 8829 to connect to Sch E....is this something that I have to do manually then just insert the ending figure onto Sch E as Other Expenses?

I believe 8829s are only for schedule C use.  I think you are on the right track to do the manual calculations.

Does Client reside there also?  Or are we discussing a separate home with office from which he manages apartments?

Its in a portion of his personal residence....he does not live in the apartment complex.
