This cleared it up:
YY Represents the tax year in which you are working and X represents the network drive in which your ProSeries program is installed.
Locate all files beginning with ~$, cut and paste files into a new folder on the desktop.
Navigate to the Common Folder.
ProSeries Professional Directory: C:\ProWinYY\Common
ProSeries Network Directory: X:\ProSeries\ProNetYY\Common
ProSeries Basic Directory: C:\BasWinYY\Common
Delete files ~Users.lck and Users.net
Close the File Explorer.
Select Start and All Programs.
Select ProSeries 20YY and HomeBase Tuneup.
Launch the program and attempt to open the client file.
