Just got a call from the client I mentioned above, they just got their refund check for this situation, with interest! IRS sent it automatically.

I answered somewhere....but I'm not gonna' look for it
Amended returns take 6 months PLUS to process, so I'm not sure amending will get them their money any faster than just waiting for the IRS to do their thing.
The real answer is that no one has a clue; I haven't seen anything here, or any of the other forums I frequent, saying the IRS has actually taken any action yet.

Thats my feelings as well....amended returns take Soooo long to process these days, Im not sure it worth bothering with...maybe I'll just wait and if they havent got the refund automatically by next filing season, we amend then....I havent told the clients about it yet.
