I currently have tax modules and states in my Lacerte tax program which I no longer need. I found many topics on how to ADD tax modules and states; how do I REMOVE tax modules and states??? Can I do it for the current year? Or must I await 2019 and do it upon install. Using Lacerte on a Windows 10 computer.

Removing states and modules will make the update run more quickly.

I think I'm understanding that I must completely uninstall Lacerte and then reinstall the program and at that time choose NOT to include those states and tax modules, is that correct? And I won't lose what I've already done in Lacerte this year?

Yes. That is correct. You will not loose any data. BUT you should ALWAYS HAVE A BACKUP. Including an options backup.
