I'm getting a critical diagnostic regarding Form 6252 reporting of prior year installment sales due to the new reporting. We do not have the information from the year of the sale as those returns were done by a prior accountant. The sales took place 20 years ago and the taxpayer has been unable to locate those records. Has anyone had this situation? Did the electronic transmission of the return go through without that information?
