I am getting Error while updating tax services data and so I have tried to follow instructions and made a copy of my data, cleaned out all the URN information and then went looking for 19CLPACK.EXE.   It is not on my computer (single user set up).

I am thinking the FDATA must be corrupt but I have no way that I can see to repair the database.

Can anybody out there help with why I am getting the error and why I do not have access to download 19CLPACK.EXE?

Thank you.

Okay, I finally found the CLPACK utility - ran it on FData and got no errors.

My windows10 is updated.  I turned the PC off numerous times to reboot.  No luck.

Error while updating Tax Services Data

Exception occurred in the tax engine.

I reloaded the Lacerte program.

Anybody have any ideas?

1 - Try FORCE install https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/help-articles/help/how-to-perform-a-force-install-of-lacerte...

That often cures things.

2. Follow JWolfe in https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/lacerte-discussions/discussion/re-client-stuck-repopulating/... and https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/lacerte-discussions/discussion/pre-filter-on-2019-individual... as he (she) shares what they learned from support

3 CLPACK is Last Resort and you did it already, but try again if 1 or 2 doesn;t do it. https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/help-articles/help/clpack-running-the-lacerte-client-databas...

4. Call support and get them to fix it. Dont' leave the conversation until it is working. https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/help-articles/help/how-to-contact-lacerte-for-help/00/4691 They are just opening now.

Thank you for your reply which was extremely helpful.  I ended up calling Lacerte and after one hour, we resolved the issue by using the Force Install you suggested.

I appreciate your input and I did not leave the conversation until it was working.

Thank you again for your help.
