If you are trying to print to PDF and receive the error:
- Close ProSeries.
- In the Windows search field type Printers.
- Select Printers & scanners
- Find ProSeries TYYY PDF Printer for the year impacted.
- Select ProSeries TYYY PDF Printer and then Remove device.
- Close the Printers & scanners window.
- Open Windows File Explorer.
- Browse to the C:\ProWinYY\32bit folder.
- Run PSInstall.exe.
- Wait for10 seconds, then close the 32bit folder
- Open ProSeries and print to PDF
If you are trying to print to a printer and not a PDF follow these steps:
- Close ProSeries.
- In the Windows search field type Printers.
- Select Printers & scanners.
- If checked, uncheck Let Windows manage my default printer.
- Select the print you want to use and select the Manage button.
- Select Set as default.
- Open ProSeries.
- From the File menu, select Print Options.
- Select Printer, PDF, and DMS Setup.
- Change the Tax Forms Printer and Client Letters/Invoice/Client Checklist Printer to the printer selected as the Windows default.
- Print the return.
