This article will show you how to enable Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 in Internet Explorer 11.

How to enable TLS in Internet Explorer 11:

Windows 10 users: Windows 10 has Internet Explorer 11 built-in, and TLS 1.2 is enabled by default. To confirm TLS 1.2 is enabled, follow these steps:

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Press the Alt key to display the menu bar, then select the Tools menu.
3. Select Internet Options.
4. Select the Advanced tab and scroll down to the Security section.
5. Check to see if you have the box labeled Use TLS 1.2 selected. If not, select the box to enable it.
6. Select OK.
7. Close Internet Explorer.
8. Open your tax software again to make sure you enabled TSL.
