Does the client's address transfer to their return?
The address listed in the Client Information screen of QuickBooks Online Accountant will import into the client's 1040 return.
Can a 1040 generated in Prep for Taxes be linked to a different client in ProConnect Tax?
Each client in QuickBooks Online Accountant is linked to an identical client in ProConnect Tax, and vice versa. These linked clients can't be unlinked or modified.
- The return created with Prep for Taxes will be copied to its identical client in ProConnect Tax.
- To see the business name in QuickBooks Online Accountant and the individual's name in ProConnect Tax, edit the client in QuickBooks Online Accountant.
- Use the Display Name field for the 1040's name, and the Company Name field for the individual's name.
Can I run Prep for Taxes for a short-year return?
Prep for Taxes for short-year returns is not a feature at this time.
