Additional Estimated Tax Payments

This article will help you enter additional estimated tax payments, if your client made more than four estimated payments throughout the year. 20XX is used to signify the current tax return year throughout this article. Click on your return type below to view step-by step instructions.

  1. Go to the Input Return tab.
  2. On the left-side menu, select Payments, Penalties & Extensions.
  3. Click on 20XX estimated payments.
  4. Scroll down to the Additional Estimated Tax Payments subsection.
  5. Enter the Amount paid and Date of payment.

  3. Click on Estimated Tax.
  4. Scroll down to the Additional Estimated Tax Payments subsection.
  5. Enter the Amount paid and Date of payment.

  2. On the left-side menu, select Payments, Penalties & Extensions.
  3. Click on Estimated Tax.
  4. Scroll down to the Additional Estimated Tax Payments subsection.
  5. Enter the Amount paid and Date of payment.
  1. Go to the Input Return tab.
  2. On the left-side menu, select Payments, Penalties & Extensions.
  3. Click on Estimates (1041-ES).
  4. Scroll down to the Additional Estimated Tax Payments subsection.
  5. Enter the Amount paid.
  6. Enter the amount Applied to beneficiary (if applicable).
  7. Enter the Date of payment.
  1. Go to the Input Return tab.
  2. On the left-side menu, select Payments, Penalties & Extensions.
  3. Click on Estimated Tax Payments.
  4. Select 20XX Private Foundation Estimated Tax for 990-PF, or select 20XX Unrelated Business Estimated Tax for 990-T.
  5. Scroll down to the Additional Estimated Tax Payments subsection.
  6. Enter the Amount paid and Date of payment.
