Whats new for 2020 Lacerte?

The following features and improvements will be available in the 2020 version of Lacerte:

As part of our continued 2020 goals of meeting or exceeding IRS security guidelines, Lacerte will soon be offering improvements to EFIN data validation. This new security change will lead to fewer rejections for data mismatches in your firm.

Reduce time in collecting input documents from clients through a streamlined collaboration and document collection experience. Over the course of this year and next, our team will be reviewing all of the existing tools and features in our current Lacerte software for collecting input documents to ensure our improvements keep your work moving quickly.

Over the course of 2019, our product development team spent hours testing this functionality with pros and received excellent feedback. You’ll be able to automatically track time spent on returns for all tax types. With the quick home screen view by return you’ll be able to quickly assess how much time has been spent for easy calculation of billing, return on investment, time allocation by staff, and more.

We’re providing new platform enhancements and database upgrades to help ensure higher quality and reliability in Lacerte for 2020 and beyond, so you can stay focused on your clients. New upgrades will also include alerts to help you stay on track.
