This article will help if a client returns appear multiple times on the EF Center. These duplicate returns don't appear in other HomeBase views.
Before you start:
- ProSeries 2020 and newer won't require a Duplicate SSN record to be removed from the EF Center HomeBase to e-file. Instead, the software will allow duplicate records to coexist in the same HomeBase. For more information see How to resolve a Duplicate SSN errors in ProSeries?
- When trying to correct either of the client situations described in this article, don't try to delete any clients. Trying to delete a client affected by these issues may delete the original client file in addition to the duplicates.
- This article references default installation paths and uses YY to reference the tax year in 20YY format. C: will always indicate the local drive and X: will always indicate the network drive.
Repairing the HomeBase
