Setting up your Right Networks hosted environment before your hosted appointment

This article will help you:

  • Activate your Right Networks login.
  • Add your Professional Tax software to your Right Networks account.
  • Locate the correct Data path for your hosted appointment.

To setup your Right Networks online account:

  1. When your account is ready to be setup you'll receive a welcome email.
  2. Click on Activate Your Account.
  3. This will allow you to setup your Right Networks password. Click SUBMIT when complete.
  4. Enter your Right Networks login information you just created and click LOG IN. 
  5. You will now have a Create Your Profile screen. Enter the information and click CREATE PROFILE to finish creating your profile and lanch the setup wizard.
  6. Step 1 of the Setup Wizard will show you the package you purchased. Click NEXT.
  7. Step 2 allows you to assign your package to your login. Click on your Intuit ProConnect Lacerte or Intuit ProConnect ProSeries package to add it to your login.
  8. Click NEXT when done.
  9. Here you can purchase any Right Network Add On Products.
    • To purchase the add on click on the Add button then NEXT.
    • To continue without purchasing an Add On click NEXT.
  10. Step 3 allows you to add additional users. Click Add User to begin or NEXT to skip this step.
  11. Step 4 summarizes what has been setup today. Click CONTINUE TO MY ACCOUNT to finish your setup.

How do I find the data paths I need for my hosted appointment?

Prior to your hosted appointment, you will want to verify the Data path and Option path for each year of Lacerte you are moving to the hosted environment. This will help your onboarding specialist know exactly where to find your clients.

  1. Open Lacerte.
  2. Press F10 to open Technical Support Information.
  3. Make sure you are on the System Information tab.
  4. Scroll down to Option path.
  5. Make a note of the path listed.
  6. Scroll down to Data path.
  7. Make a note of the path listed.
